Overview

The HTX (O) Turbo DCT is the cheapest way to get the Carens Clavis big screens and 360 camera with an automatic. It costs ₹19.62 lakh and pairs the 158 bhp turbo petrol with the 7 speed dual clutch gearbox, rated at 16.66 kmpl.

Over the HTK+ (O) Turbo DCT, the ₹1.76 lakh step adds the 360 degree camera and twin 12.25 inch screens with navigation and Kia Connect. You also get an 8 speaker BOSE system, 64 colour ambient lighting, leatherette seats and an air purifier. UV cut solar glass, cooled cup holders and fold down tables on the front seat backs complete the upgrade.

It stops short of the HTX+ comforts. There are no ventilated seats, no power driver seat and no ADAS, and the dashcam from the HTK+ (O) is dropped. A close option is the GTX Turbo DCT for ₹38,000 more. It adds LED fog lamps, lime brake calipers and a black interior, but swaps the BOSE system for a regular four speaker setup.
