Climber Price and Specs, Renault Kwid

The Kwid Climber MT sits near the top of the range at ₹5.15 lakh with a manual gearbox. It uses the same 1.0-litre petrol engine up front, rated at 69 PS and 92.5 Nm, driving the front wheels. Five seats and a rated 21.46 kmpl keep it cheap to run.

The big step over the Evolution is safety, with six airbags covering the front, sides and curtains. You also get the 8-inch touchscreen that pairs with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Even so, this trim still goes without alloy wheels, a rear camera, cruise control and a sunroof.

Go for the Climber MT if the six airbags are your priority and you are happy shifting gears. Both Climber trims share this six-airbag setup, so only the gearbox and price separate them. The extra protection over the Evolution is the clearest reason to spend more here. If you want the same six airbags with an automatic, look at the Climber AMT instead.
