BMW X7 Overview

The BMW X7 is the largest SUV in the brand's India range. It is a full size seven seater built for big families. Four variants span a petrol and a diesel, both six cylinder units. Every version drives all four wheels through an eight speed automatic. It sits at the top of BMW's SUV lineup above the X5.

The X7 uses two 3.0 litre inline six engines, each with a mild hybrid. The xDrive40i petrol makes 381 hp. The xDrive40d diesel makes 340 hp and a big 700 Nm. That torque suits hauling seven people over long distances. The petrol is smoother and revs more freely for lighter duty.

Space is the X7's main strength, with three usable rows for adults. The tall body gives a commanding view of the road. Ground clearance of 221 mm is the highest in BMW's SUV range here. That helps the large body clear rough roads and steep ramps.
