The HTE(O) Hybrid gives you the Sorento's petrol hybrid with the comfort extras that matter most, for ₹30.99 lakh. It pairs a 1.6 litre turbo petrol making 177.5 bhp with a 64 bhp electric motor, a 6 speed automatic and front wheel drive.

A strong hybrid can drive on electric power alone at low speeds, then bring in the petrol engine as you speed up, so it stays quiet in traffic. The hybrid also gets a dial type gear selector and paddle shifters from the base trim, which the HTE(O) Diesel does not.

The Convenience Package adds a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, an 8 way power passenger seat and a smart power tailgate. You still get 7 airbags, 18 inch alloys and the 12.3 inch touchscreen. If you want the 360 camera and the curved twin screen display, the HTK Hybrid costs ₹3 lakh more.
