Smart CNG adds a factory gas system to the entry Tiago, cutting the fuel bill hard at a rated 26.49 km per kg. On CNG the 1.2 litre makes 74.4 bhp, enough for town speeds, and the low price of gas keeps daily costs down.

Kit stays at Smart level, so six airbags are standard but there is no touchscreen or camera. This is the Tiago for a buyer who wants the cheapest possible running costs, such as heavy city use. For gas with a screen and cruise, the Pure CNG and Creative CNG sit higher up.
