The GTI is the hot hatch version of the Volkswagen Golf, and it is the only variant on sale here. A 2.0 litre TSI petrol sits up front, making 265 PS and 370 Nm, driving the front wheels through an automatic. At around ₹50.91 lakh it is a premium, enthusiast-focused car rather than a value buy, and it seats five.

You get a strong equipment list for the money. There is a 12.9 inch Discover touchscreen, 18 inch Richmond diamond-turned alloy wheels and a tilting and sliding panoramic sunroof.
