The Plus is the mid-level trim in the naturally aspirated Basalt line, priced at ₹9.99 lakh. It carries the 1.2-litre petrol with 82 PS and 115 Nm, paired with a manual gearbox and front-wheel drive. It slots above the two You trims and below the top Max.

Choosing the Plus over the You gets you a better-equipped car on the same 82 PS engine. The naturally aspirated motor is smooth but modest, and its 18.0 kmpl trails the turbo trims. So you are paying here for trim rather than for extra pace. The manual gearbox and front-wheel drive layout are shared with the rest of the range.

Go for the Plus if you want a nicer-appointed Basalt and do not need the turbo engine's extra shove. It makes good sense for city commuting and steady highway use. If you cover long distances, the Plus Turbo adds 110 PS and better economy for a small premium. That turbo also returns a claimed 19.5 kmpl, better than this car's 18.0.
