The Classic Plus manual sits one rung above the base car at ₹8.25 lakh. Mechanically it is unchanged, with the 1.0 TSI turbo petrol, 115 PS and 178 Nm sent to the front wheels by a manual. It seats five and claims 19.68 kmpl. It is the cheapest Kylaq you can buy with a sunroof.

The jump from the Classic buys you two things buyers really want: an electric sunroof with anti-pinch and cruise control. Those aside, the cabin stays plain. There is still no touchscreen, no alloy wheels and no rear camera, so it looks basic outside and in.

This trim suits you if a sunroof and cruise control are your priorities but a big screen is not. It keeps the manual and the better mileage of the non-automatic cars. Move up to the Signature if you want alloy wheels and the seven-inch touchscreen. Or pick the Classic Plus automatic if you would rather have two pedals.
