With the GT Plus, the Virtus gains its performance engine, the 1.5L TSI, at ₹18.85 lakh. It makes 147.51 bhp and 250 Nm, sent to the front wheels through an automatic gearbox. It carries five and claims 19.62 kmpl.

The larger engine is the main draw, but the equipment is generous too. You get ventilated front seats, 16 inch Razor alloy wheels and the electric sunroof. The 25.65 cm (10.1 inch) VW Play touchscreen and cruise control are included as well. The Razor alloys and sunroof carry over from the loaded Topline.

This trim suits you if you want genuine pace with a full feature list in one car. It is the entry point to the quicker 1.5 litre range. The GT Plus Sport and the Anniversary Edition use the same engine but change the styling, each for a little more money. That extra power justifies the price step for keen drivers.
