Standard battery or the Pro pack
The first three trims, the Excite, Exclusive and Essence, run the 38 kWh battery good for a claimed 331 km. The two Pro trims, the Exclusive Pro at ₹17.90 Lakh and the Essence Pro at ₹19.00 Lakh, carry the larger 52.9 kWh battery for a claimed 449 km. So your first call is how much range you actually need day to day.
Reading the five trims
On the standard battery, the Excite at ₹14.70 Lakh is the plain start, the Exclusive at ₹16.00 Lakh the mid step, and the Essence at ₹17.00 Lakh the loaded one. The Pro trims mirror the Exclusive and Essence but add the bigger battery. Check the equipment gap between trims so you know what the extra money brings.
The Battery as a Service option
MG also sells the Windsor under a Battery as a Service plan. The sticker price drops because you rent the battery instead of owning it. You then pay a small charge for every kilometre you drive.
