The Toyota Glanza facelift is on sale in India from ₹6.99 lakh ex-showroom, Toyota announced in New Delhi on 14 October 2026. It brings Level 2 ADAS, ventilated front seats and a new three-cylinder engine to the premium hatchback.

Bookings cost ₹11,000, with Toyota's release giving 15 October as the opening date, and deliveries start in the first week of November. The new starting price is ₹26,000 higher than the outgoing model's ₹6.73 lakh.

Tadashi Asazuma, Deputy Managing Director of Toyota Kirloskar Motor, called the hatchback segment "an important entry point for customers beginning their mobility journey."

Engine and Mileage

The 1.2-litre four-cylinder engine is gone. In its place is the Z12E 1.2-litre three-cylinder, which makes 61 kW (83 PS) and 112.4 Nm on petrol, and 51.3 kW (70 PS) and 101.8 Nm on CNG. Buyers choose between a manual and an AMT, and the AMT is now offered with CNG as well.

Claimed mileage rises to 23.80 km/l with the manual and 24.77 km/l with the AMT, up from 22.35 km/l and 22.94 km/l. Toyota's website lists 33.61 km/kg and 34.47 km/kg for the CNG manual and AMT.

New Safety and Comfort Features

The main addition is Level 2 ADAS. Toyota says it covers adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, lane departure warning and prevention, autonomous emergency braking and high beam assist. Toyota's brochure lists it only on the top V(O) trim, which starts at ₹10.49 lakh. Tyre pressure monitoring and an emergency stop signal are also new, alongside six airbags, vehicle stability control and a 360-degree camera.

Inside, the front seats are now ventilated and the wireless charger gets a cooling function. The head-up display stays, and the 22.86 cm (9-inch) Smart Playcast pro touchscreen supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Outside, the facelift gets a new front bumper, a redesigned grille with a wide chrome strip and new side skirts. Two new colours, Bluish Black and Digital Teal Green, take the range to seven.

The warranty is 3 years or 1 lakh km, extendable to 5 years or 2.2 lakh km.

How It Compares With the Baleno

The Glanza is Toyota's version of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, and the two are again closely matched. The Baleno facelift launched on 5 September with the same Z12E engine, Level 2 ADAS and ventilated front seats. Its claimed mileage for the petrol versions and the CNG manual matches the Glanza's. Maruti quoted a starting price of ₹6,09,900 ex-showroom Bengaluru for the Baleno.

Outside the twins, the Hyundai i20 costs ₹6 lakh to ₹11.64 lakh and the Tata Altroz ₹6 lakh to ₹10.90 lakh ex-showroom, according to the DynoBHP catalog as of September 2026.

With the Baleno and the Glanza now sharing their engine, safety equipment and mileage figures, what separates them for buyers is price, trim equipment and ownership terms such as warranty and service. The Glanza sits in the rest of Toyota's Indian range alongside the Taisor and Hyryder.

This story was updated on 15 October 2026 to add that Level 2 ADAS is offered only on the V(O) trim, according to Toyota's brochure, and that Toyota's website now lists every variant price.
