The Honda Amaze 2nd Gen specifications are short and simple, because there is one grade and one engine. The 1.2 litre i-VTEC is a four cylinder, 1199 cc petrol with a single overhead camshaft, rated at 90 PS at 6000 rpm and 110 Nm at 4800 rpm. It is compliant with E20 petrol.
Two gearboxes are offered on the S grade: a five speed manual and a CVT automatic. The manual is certified at 18.60 kmpl and the CVT at 18.30 kmpl, and both are fed by a 35 litre tank. The CVT version adds a shift position indicator in the meter, while the manual gets a leather gear lever boot.
The body is 3995 mm long, 1695 mm wide and 1501 mm tall, on a 2470 mm wheelbase. Kerb weight is 920 to 945 kg, and the 4.7 m turning radius keeps tight U-turns easy. Honda does not quote a ground clearance, so we leave it out. The 420 litre boot is the standout number. For the running-cost side, see the Amaze 2nd Gen mileage.
It rides on 14 inch steel wheels with full covers and 175/65 R14 tyres, with discs at the front and drums at the rear. Suspension is a McPherson strut up front and a torsion bar at the back, both on coil springs. Read together, the sheet describes a light, easy sedan built to a price rather than a feature list.
