Overview

The S manual is the cheapest Honda on sale in India, at ₹6.98 lakh ex-showroom. It is the older shape of the Amaze, powered by the 1.2 litre i-VTEC petrol with 90 PS and 110 Nm, driving through a five speed manual. Honda certifies it at 18.60 kmpl, the best figure in this two-variant range.

Safety covers the basics: driver and passenger airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child seat mounts and rear parking sensors. Inside you get manual air conditioning with a heater, power windows on all four doors, power-folding mirrors and a 2DIN audio unit with Bluetooth and four speakers. There is no touchscreen, no rear camera and no stability control.

Pick the S manual if you want a Honda sedan with a 420 litre boot for the least money and are happy to shift gears yourself. If you want six airbags and a touchscreen with Android Auto, the newer Amaze V manual costs ₹67,700 more.
