Trims of three Hyundai SUVs now sit within ₹1,700 of each other. The new Bayon HX 3 costs ₹10,89,900 ex-showroom Delhi, between the Venue HX 6T at ₹10,89,000 and the Creta E at ₹10,90,700.

The three trims spend that money in different ways, according to Hyundai's brochures. The Venue gives the most equipment, the Creta the most length, and the Bayon a mix of the two.

The Venue Carries the Most Equipment

The Venue HX 6T is the only one of the three with a sunroof, automatic climate control, a wireless charger, automatic headlamps and a dashcam. It also gets Bluelink connected features and over-the-air updates.

In return, it is the shortest of the three and has the smallest engine. Its 1.2-litre petrol makes 32 PS less than the 1.5-litre unit shared by the Bayon and Creta, and drives through a five-speed manual.

The Creta Is the Largest

The Creta E is 85 mm longer than the Bayon and 335 mm longer than the Venue, with the longest wheelbase of the three. Its cabin is the plainest, with a foldable key, manual air conditioning and none of the screen, speaker or camera equipment the other two carry.

The Bayon Sits Between Them

The Bayon's HX 3 trim shares the Creta's engine and six-speed manual. It matches the Venue's 10.25-inch screen, wireless phone mirroring, speakers, rear camera and smart key.

It does without the Venue's sunroof, automatic climate control and wireless charger. Hyundai adds an electric sunroof on the next trim, the HX 3+, for ₹90,000 more.

Hyundai's 505-litre Bayon boot figure assumes the HX 2's tyre repair kit, while the HX 3 carries a spare wheel. The company rates the Venue's boot at 375 litres and publishes no boot volume for the Creta.

The Overlap Starts One Trim Lower

The base Bayon HX 2 costs ₹9,99,900, exactly the price of the Venue HX 5+ with the 1.2-litre petrol. At that price, the Venue has a sunroof, a touchscreen, speakers and a rear camera that the entry Bayon lacks.
