The Seltos Leads
The Seltos sold more than 13,000 units in October. Since the current Kia Seltos went on sale in January 2026, it has averaged over 10,000 a month, Kia said.
The Sonet compact SUV was the other big contributor. Kia did not give its number or any other model's.
CNG and EVs
CNG versions of the Carens and the Carens Clavis MPV made up close to 10% of Kia's October sales. Kia announced prices for both factory-fitted CNG models on 18 September, starting at ₹12,11,800 and ₹12,38,800 ex-showroom respectively.
Kia's electric cars also had their best month, with sales up 31% on September. The Syros EV and the Carens Clavis EV drove that rise. Kia gave no unit figures for either.
The Sorento, sold with hybrid and diesel engines, had drawn an encouraging response, Kia said.
What Kia Said
Atul Sood, Kia India's senior vice president for sales and marketing, credited festive demand, the established models and the newer ones. He said the CNG share and the EV record showed Kia's choice of several powertrains was working.
Kia also pointed to its widened Assured Buyback Programme. It guarantees eligible buyers a resale value as high as 75% on petrol, diesel and hybrid cars, and 70% on EVs, subject to Kia's terms.
