Maruti Suzuki sold 2,76,120 vehicles in October 2026, its highest total for any month, the company said on 1 November.

That was 25% more than the 2,20,894 it sold in October 2025. Sales in India, with the Super Carry mini truck counted in, also hit an all-time monthly high of 2,16,789 units.

Exports came to 49,872 vehicles, and supplies to other carmakers to 9,459.

Maruti's passenger cars are its hatchbacks and sedans, such as the Swift hatchback, Dzire and WagonR. Its utility vehicle group covers SUVs and people carriers, from the Brezza and Fronx to the Ertiga.

Two Records in One Month

The previous high for total sales was 2,42,688 vehicles, set in May. For sales in India, the earlier peak was 2,00,123 units in July, which October beat by 16,666.

Exports grew fastest of any line in the table. They added 18,568 units over October 2025, or about a third of Maruti's total increase, and made up 18.1% of its October sales against 14.2% a year earlier.

Passenger vehicle sales in India rose 20.5% to 2,12,384. That is well below the 38.1% growth Maruti posted between July and September, when its utility vehicle sales jumped 52%.

What Maruti Did Not Say

The release gives no figure for pending bookings. When the July to September quarter closed, Maruti had about 2 lakh orders still to fill and dealer stock of about 17 days.

It also does not break sales down by model. The nine utility vehicles and nine passenger cars are reported only as groups.

Maruti built 2,60,003 vehicles in October, according to its production release published the same day. Its sales from April to October came to 16,55,498 units, 27.4% more than a year earlier.
