Maruti Suzuki Crosses 16.5 Lakh Sales in the First Seven Months of FY27
Three monthly records in seven months, utility vehicles up 40.1%, and the one line that keeps falling: supplies to other carmakers.

The total is already 68% of the 24,22,713 vehicles it sold in the whole of the last financial year, which was a record. Maruti has averaged about 2,36,500 sales a month since April.

How the Year Has Built Up
Maruti reported its first half-year above ₹1 lakh crore in net sales on 27 October, covering April to September. October then added a record 2,76,120 vehicles to the volume count.
The growth has come with new capacity. Maruti brought a second Kharkhoda plant on stream in May and a fourth Hansalpur plant in July, for a yearly capacity of 29 lakh vehicles.
Supplies to other carmakers are the one weak line. The buyers are not named in Maruti's releases, and the figure has fallen in five of the seven months.
