Karnataka charges electric cars 8% up to ₹25 lakh and 10% above it, plus an 11% cess on that tax. So both Pack One Above versions pay 8%, and every pack from Two Above up pays 10%.
Why does the on-road price jump so much from Pack One Above to Pack Two Above in Bangalore?
Two things add up. Pack Two Above costs ₹2.4 lakh more than the Pack One Above 79 kWh ex-showroom, and at ₹25.05 lakh it also crosses into Karnataka's 10% slab. On our estimate the on-road gap grows to about ₹3.3 lakh.
Is the range enough for a Bangalore to Mysuru round trip?
