About the Mercedes-Benz Electric GLC

The Mercedes-Benz Electric GLC is the battery-powered version of the brand's midsize SUV, and it made its India debut on 4 November 2026. It comes in one specification, the GLC 400 4MATIC, at an indicative ₹78.50 Lakh ex-showroom. That is only ₹1.50 Lakh more than the GLC 300 and ₹50,000 more than the GLC 220d, the petrol and diesel GLC.

Two electric motors drive all four wheels and together make 360 kW, which Mercedes quotes as 489 hp, with 800 Nm of torque. The claimed time from rest to 100 km/h is 4.3 seconds, and top speed is 210 km/h. That is twice the torque of the petrol GLC 300.

The battery holds 94 kWh of usable energy, and Mercedes quotes a range of up to 711 km on the WLTP cycle. On a DC fast charger of up to 330 kW, a 10 to 80% charge takes 22 minutes. See how far the Electric GLC goes on a charge before you plan your trips.

It sits on a dedicated electric platform, so it is a bigger car than the petrol GLC. Length is 4,856 mm and the wheelbase is 2,972 mm. The main boot holds 570 litres, and a 128 litre front boot sits under the bonnet.

Because only one version is sold, the equipment list is long. It includes the 39.1-inch MBUX Hyperscreen, Digital Light headlamps, a SKY CONTROL glass roof with 162 illuminated stars and a 15-speaker Burmester 3D sound system. Read the GLC 400 4MATIC spec sheet for every figure.

Buyers choose between a wall-mounted AC charger kit and 2,500 kWh of charging credit valid for two years. Mercedes gives no delivery dates yet, so work out the Electric GLC on-road cost in your city and confirm timing with your dealer.
