Hyundai Bayon iVT Automatic Prices Start at ₹13.85 Lakh
Hyundai offers the iVT on four Bayon trims. What it costs over the manual, what it adds on each trim, and how it compares with the Creta and Venue.

The cheapest automatic version of the Hyundai Bayon is the HX 5 iVT at ₹13,84,800 ex-showroom Delhi, ₹3,84,900 above the cheapest manual.
Hyundai offers the iVT on four of the SUV's seven trims, the HX 5, HX 6, HX 8 and HX 10. Buyers of the three lower trims get the six-speed manual alone.
What the Automatic Costs
| Trim | Manual | iVT | Extra for the iVT |
|---|---|---|---|
| HX 5 | ₹12,44,900 | ₹13,84,800 | ₹1,39,900 |
| HX 6 | ₹13,56,900 | ₹14,96,800 | ₹1,39,900 |
| HX 8 | ₹15,09,900 | ₹16,53,900 | ₹1,44,000 |
| HX 10 | ₹16,64,900 | ₹17,99,900 | ₹1,35,000 |
The premium is smallest on the HX 10, which is also the trim where the iVT brings the most extra equipment. It is largest on the HX 8, at ₹1,44,000.
What Comes With the iVT
Every iVT version gets paddle shifters and a drive mode button on the steering wheel, which switches between Eco, Normal and Sport. Manual Bayons have neither. Hyundai's launch release also lists Dash Boost Mode and Sporty Drive Tech, two functions it first described on 23 October, as iVT only.
| Trim | Added with the iVT |
|---|---|
| HX 5 and HX 6 | Paddle shifters, drive mode select, Dash Boost Mode, Sporty Drive Tech |
| HX 8 | As on the HX 5 and HX 6, plus an electric parking brake with auto hold |
| HX 10 | As on the HX 5 and HX 6, plus Smart Cruise Control with Stop and Go, Highway Driving Assist and two navigation-based cruise functions |
On the HX 10, the adaptive cruise system replaces the conventional cruise control fitted to the manual. The HX 10 manual already has the electric parking brake, which is why the HX 8 with the automatic is the only trim where the iVT adds it.

The Gearbox
Hyundai's booking website lists the iVT's transmission type as CVT, a continuously variable automatic. Engine output does not change with the gearbox, at 115 PS and 143.8 Nm from the 1.5-litre petrol.
No official mileage figure is out yet for the iVT or the manual.
Against the Creta and Venue
The Creta uses the same engine and iVT. Its cheapest automatic, the Creta EX (O) iVT, costs ₹14,49,700, which is ₹64,900 more than the Bayon HX 5 iVT. On that Creta trim, the iVT adds ₹1,35,500 over the manual, close to what Hyundai charges on the Bayon.
The Venue has no iVT. Its lowest-priced automatic is the HX 5 turbo DCT version of the Venue, which costs ₹10,94,600 and uses a 1.0-litre turbo engine with a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox.
| Model | Cheapest automatic | Engine and gearbox | Ex-showroom price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Venue | HX 5 | 1.0-litre turbo petrol, seven-speed DCT | ₹10,94,600 |
| Bayon | HX 5 | 1.5-litre petrol, iVT | ₹13,84,800 |
| Creta | EX (O) | 1.5-litre petrol, iVT | ₹14,49,700 |
Dual-tone colours add ₹15,000 to any Bayon iVT, which takes the top HX 10 iVT to ₹18,14,900.
