New Honda Elevate Closes the Feature Gap With the Creta, but Stays Petrol-Only
Honda's update brings the Elevate closer to the Creta on features, but Hyundai still offers turbo petrol and diesel engines the Elevate does not.

Honda's New Elevate adds a 360-degree camera, powered front seats and an electric parking brake, narrowing its feature gap with the Hyundai Creta. Its engine line-up does not change. The Elevate keeps a single 1.5-litre petrol engine, while the Creta offers three.
Honda unveiled the updated SUV on 6 October 2026 at ₹11.80 lakh to ₹18.40 lakh ex-showroom Delhi. Hyundai's price list puts the Creta at ₹10.91 lakh to ₹20.31 lakh in Delhi.
What the Update Adds
Honda lists a 360-degree camera, front parking sensors, powered front seats, an electric parking brake with auto brake hold, and front and rear ventilated seats among the additions. Its Honda Sensing driver aids gain Low-Speed Follow on CVT versions.
Most of the new features sit at the top of the Elevate's variant range. The 360-degree camera, front sensors and powered seats come on the ZX+ trims, while the electric parking brake is fitted to every CVT version.

The Elevate reaches several comfort and safety items at a lower price. Its ZX offers ventilated front seats and Honda Sensing for ₹15.39 lakh, ₹1,88,800 below the cheapest Creta with Hyundai's Level 2 ADAS. The Elevate V CVT gets an electric parking brake ₹1,86,700 below the cheapest Creta that has one.
The Creta's variant line-up gets there first on cameras and screens. Its SX Premium offers the 360-degree camera, front sensors and a powered driver seat for ₹45,800 less than the Elevate ZX+. A panoramic sunroof starts on the Creta EX(O), and a fully digital cluster arrives on the SX. Every Elevate keeps analogue dials beside a 7-inch display.
The two ADAS packages also differ in scope. Hyundai's list for the Creta includes blind-spot collision avoidance and rear cross-traffic alerts, which Honda does not list for the Elevate. The Elevate instead uses a LaneWatch camera from the VX, which shows the passenger side on the touchscreen when the driver signals left.
Only the Elevate offers ventilated rear seats, on its ZX+ trims.
The Engine Gap Remains
The Elevate's 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol makes 89 kW (121 PS) and 145 Nm, 6 PS more than the Creta's 1.5-litre MPi petrol. Both come with a 6-speed manual or a CVT, which Hyundai calls iVT.
Hyundai also offers a 160 PS 1.5-litre turbo petrol with a 7-speed DCT on the Creta King Turbo, and a 116 PS 1.5-litre diesel with manual or automatic gearboxes. Honda offers neither on the Elevate.
| Engine | Model | Power | Torque | Gearboxes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1.5 i-VTEC petrol | Honda Elevate | 121 PS | 145 Nm | 6-speed manual, CVT |
| 1.5 MPi petrol | Hyundai Creta | 115 PS | 143.8 Nm | 6-speed manual, iVT |

| 1.5 CRDi diesel | Hyundai Creta | 116 PS | 250 Nm | 6-speed manual, 6-speed automatic |
Size
At 4,312 mm, the Elevate is 18 mm shorter than the Creta, but its 2,650 mm wheelbase is 40 mm longer. Both are 1,790 mm wide. Honda quotes 220 mm of ground clearance and a 458-litre boot, figures Hyundai's brochure does not give for the Creta. The Creta carries a 50-litre fuel tank against the Elevate's 40 litres.
DynoBHP's tool to compare cars sets the Elevate and Creta side by side on price, features and dimensions.
Honda has kept the Elevate's engine unchanged for the update. Buyers who want a diesel or a turbo petrol in this pair still have only the Creta to choose from.
