Toyota has added an automatic gearbox to the Glanza's CNG versions for the first time, with prices starting at ₹9.31 lakh ex-showroom Delhi, as part of the hatchback's facelift launched on 14 October.

The gearbox is an automated manual transmission (AMT), which shifts gears on its own and has no clutch pedal. It is offered on both CNG trims, S and G, and costs ₹55,000 more than the CNG manual on each.

G₹9.68 lakh₹10.23 lakh₹9.33 lakh

All prices are ex-showroom Delhi, from Toyota's official price list. The CNG automatic costs ₹1 lakh more than the petrol AMT on the S trim and ₹90,000 more on the G.

Mileage and Performance

Toyota claims 34.47 km/kg for the CNG AMT, up from 33.61 km/kg for the CNG manual. In CNG mode, the 1.2-litre three-cylinder Z12E engine makes 51.3 kW (70 PS) at 5,700 rpm and 101.8 Nm at 2,900 rpm, against 61 kW and 112.4 Nm on petrol.

The CNG versions carry a 55-litre (water equivalent) gas cylinder alongside the 37-litre petrol tank. Toyota lists the CNG AMT at 1,050 kg to 1,060 kg, compared with 965 kg to 990 kg for the petrol AMT.

What the CNG Trims Get and Miss

Toyota's brochure lists six airbags, vehicle stability control, hill hold control, tyre pressure monitoring and ISOFIX child seat mounts on both CNG trims. The S CNG has a 7-inch (17.78 cm) touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The G CNG adds a 9-inch (22.86 cm) touchscreen, automatic climate control, push-button start, a rear camera, wireless charging and Toyota's i-Connect connected car features.

The facelift's headline features are not available with CNG. Level 2 ADAS is limited to the top V(O) trim, while ventilated front seats, the head-up display and the 360-degree camera are offered only on the petrol V and V(O). The full Glanza variant list shows where each feature starts.

Rivals With a CNG Automatic

The Glanza's twin, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, got a CNG automatic on 18 September. Maruti quoted a starting price of ₹8,32,400 ex-showroom and the same 34.47 km/kg claim. The Tata Altroz offers CNG with an AMT from ₹8.75 lakh to ₹10.90 lakh ex-showroom, according to the DynoBHP catalog as of September 2026.

Bookings for the Glanza opened on 15 October at ₹11,000, and Toyota says deliveries begin in the first week of November. Buyers who choose the CNG automatic are limited to the S and G trims and go without the Level 2 ADAS and ventilated seats that Toyota fitted to the facelift's top petrol versions.
