Amaze 2nd Gen price in Ahmedabad: common questions
Why is the Amaze 2nd Gen cheaper on the road in Ahmedabad?
Gujarat charges a flat 6% road tax with no slabs, so both S versions pay far less than in Bangalore or Mumbai. Add about 3.5% first-year insurance and roughly fifteen thousand for registration and FASTag. It is one of the cheapest cities to put it on the road.
Gujarat buyers like CNG, so is the petrol-only Amaze 2nd Gen still a good buy?
If you drive moderate distances, yes. The petrol is certified at 18.60 kmpl with the manual, and Honda offers no CNG or diesel version. For very high daily mileage, a factory CNG car will cost less per kilometre.
With Gujarat's low tax, should I stretch to the newer Amaze instead?
It is a fair thought. The newer Amaze V manual costs ₹67,700 more ex-showroom, and Gujarat's 6% tax keeps the on-road gap small. That money buys six airbags, stability control and a touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Manual or CVT for driving around Ahmedabad's SG Highway?
On the SG Highway's signals and the old city's crowded lanes, the CVT is more relaxing. The manual costs ₹82,100 less and is certified a little higher at 18.60 kmpl, so it makes sense if most of your driving flows freely.
Is the Amaze 2nd Gen good for the Ahmedabad to Vadodara expressway run?
It cruises comfortably once up to speed, and the 1.2 litre engine is happiest when revved for overtakes, so plan passes early. Two airbags and ABS cover the basics, but there is no cruise control on the S grade.
